Once I heard "fatherhood is being responsible for a life that you have no control of it". Therefore I can say that fatherhood is one of the biggest gift you can have in life, and with big gifts comes big responsibilities. I believe our goal as fathers is to empower our kids to overcome their challenges and EXCEED in their life journey (Soul contract). Therefore you must empowered yourself, because you can't pour from an empty cup.
Note: In my view the biggest difference between special needs Dads and non special needs is the intensity, but the challenge is still the same. Therefore, the program and topics are a little bit different. Also, fatherhood can come in many forms.
I always understood life thru music, because I believe music is form of language, the language of love. Music brings joy to people and gives motivation and inspiration, I mean who doesn't listen their favorite song and goes, "Hell yeah, I love this song". I often ask people if your life was a movie, what would be the sound track? For me, there is no doubt that will be a mix of heavy metal, punk rock, classic rock, reggae and probably a few other things in much smaller scale. That is why fatherhood rocks
An ironman is consisted of 2.4 miles swim, 112 miles bike and 26.2 run, and is considered one of the hardest endurance race in the planet. During an ironman race you go thru a lot of ups and downs and you deal with lots of unexpected situations. Racing an ironman is 90% strength (mental and spiritual) and only 10% physical. The key for having a great race is a balance between mind, body and soul. Using ironman as a metaphor for life, you will see that life consist in racing several ironmans, like your own personal championship. The ironmans represent your challenges in life and the championship is your life journey or what I call your soul contract. Every race is different, and every body is racing for different reasons but the goal from the 1st place to the last place is to become an ironman.
We all have challenges. You have them, I have them and your kids will have them. Whatever your challenge (ironman) might be, the goal is always to EXCEED. In order to exceed we must have a balance between mind, body and soul. Only by achieving that balance you will be able to overflow your cup to help your kids overcome their challenges. Keep in mind, this is an on going process, because we never stop learning.
THE ROAD TO EXCEED
In order to overcome my life challenges (such as quit smoking, lose 100 pounds, depression, become an athlete later in life etc), I had to empower myself. In order to empower myself I created the rule of 3. Three simple rules for each element (Mind, Body and Soul).
Why 3? Besides the fact that I am fascinated by the number 3 for many reasons, we have 3 elements if life Mind, Body and Soul. The number 3 in numerology is the first number to which the meaning “all” was given. It is The Triad, being the number of the whole as it contains the beginning, a middle and an end. The power of three is universal.
What is Exceed?
The term exceed refers to surpass, or be better than. By that means going beyond your limits. Exceed is when you feel empowered to face your life challenges.

Dedication - In order to overcome a challenge we need Dedication.
Inspiration: We must inspire ourselves.
Motivation: Is about taking action.
Purpose: We must have a reason why we do things.
Love: Share the love, we rise by lifting others.
How the rule of 3 works
The rule of 3 is base on 3 simple rules I created in order to overcome my challenges in life. These 3 rules operate in all 3 elements of life: The mind, the Body and the Soul.
Using the quote: "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, is about learning how to dance in the rain." Well with my journey I learned that life is about "realizing that Your are the storm."
