Cara is a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach certified through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, (IIN), accredited through the State University of New York, SUNY Purchase. In addition, Cara is a Registered Yoga Teacher, certified through Yoga Alliance, an internationally recognized and accredited organization. She has experience teaching yoga to those of all levels and age ranges, from young children to those 97 years of age! Mindfulness is an essential component to her personal practice and lifestyle. Cara has been trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MSBR), and also by direct disciples of Buddhist Monk, Thich Nhat Hahn in Plum Village, France. Her future goals include achieving a degree in mindfulness and a certification in reflexology.
“I believe it is essential to reach one’s fullest potential to improve his overall quality of life and my job is to guide him along the way”. As a Wellness Consultant, Cara mentors people on how to manage stress, incorporate methods of self-care and make healthy day-to-day life choices. Cara utilizes the practice of yoga, mindfulness and meditation as a means to bring out the unique light from within. This process allows loving healing to happen and as a result cravings, digestive issues, addictions, excess weight, malnourishment takes a turn for the better making long term maintenance attainable. When you feel good on the inside it shows on the outside - mood is lighter, skin is brighter and glowing, and energy is increased.
As a Holistic Health Consultant, I will aid in the reframing of your perceptions on food, breathing and meditation and how these nourishing aspects affect and influence your mind, body and soul. This is an essential step for developing healthy habits. As your coach, I will guide and encourage you along your journey to improved overall health and wellness.
